Preparing for the Final Journey Home
Monday, September 13, 20, and 27, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm, Parish Hall
This three-part series will help you to have a discussion with your loved ones about your final wishes from a Catholic viewpoint. Each evening will begin and end with prayer and will include a panel of experts for the evening’s discussion. The overarching topics covered will be those of spiritual care, medical care and legal care planning. At the end of each evening there will be an opportunity for questions.
As people who love to celebrate, we are always planning special occasions in our lives: birthdays, vacations, baptisms, weddings, etc. all with the expectation of making these events memorable for all who participate. The one occasion most people avoid planning for is our inevitable passing from this life to the next. As Catholics, we should consider our passing a celebration of our life on earth and a joyful passing on to eternal life with the Father. Helping your family to understand your wishes and having them written down is a wonderful gift to give to those you love. Having your plans prepared alleviates much confusion and pain for your loved ones when the inevitable comes.
There is no cost for the series, but registration is appreciated, so we can prepare enough materials for everyone. You may register below or through the office at: 508-278-2226. For questions, please email Diane: [email protected] or call Mary Ellen at 1-508-779-0020.
