Worship is the adoration and honor given to God. “To adore God is to acknowledge him as God, as the Creator and Savior, the Lord and Master of everything that exists, as infinite and merciful Love” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2096)
The Mass is our most perfect form of worship and is fundamental to our union with Christ. Because the Mass is the most perfect union we have with Jesus in this life, it is also the most perfect union we have with each other.
Additionally, we experience God’s grace through the seven Sacraments, which were instituted by Christ and continue to be practiced as acts of worship. Just as Jesus is both human and divine, the Sacraments are physical signs that give the very grace they symbolize. Through the Sacraments we receive Jesus himself.
We cordially invite you to join with us in worship as we strive to live as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

While many people go to Mass every week, few people know what it is to worship. We show up and do our best to “pay attention," but for too many of us, this just means we watch closely. You have been given a gift that you have most likely left unused. This gift is unused because it is largely unknown. This presentation will uncover this unknown and unused gift so that you can stop watching the Mass and start worshipping at Mass. Fr. Michael Schmitz is the director of youth and young adult ministry for the Diocese of Duluth and chaplain for the Newman Center at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He provides podcasts of his weekly homilies on iTunes and BulldogCatholic.org.
